stats are for people needing excuses, remember when terry martin was kicking the crap out of leben, leben floors him with maybe his tenth punch of the night, compared to martins fifty, made up the numbers myself, but the point is there, what were the stats on kimo and gracie in ufc three,
i agree with you that he could have one the fight, i guess thats not agreeing with you though,
I think 88.987% agree with you, but you have to let it go, i like most of your posts, but it will be hard for me to take you serious after this, sorry

you use a KO and a tap out as examples of how lopsided stats don't tell the story in a decision victory?
I think its Impossible to take you seriously with that analogy!
both those fights you mention didn't need the judges decision and it's the judges decision that's in question in the Machida -Rua fight

With so many threads on the outcome of this fight, it feels like the fight is ancient history.
I personally thought following the fight that Rua won the fight, but following watching numerous replays especially with the volume turned off I feel that Machida won the 1st 3 rounds to Rua's last 2 round. Rua's last two rounds were more exciting than the first 3 rounds, but that's not how fights are scored. They are scored strictly on the round 10-9 round system unless you have utter dominance in a round which never happened. I think the judge has it right.
The compustrike datas are taken as totals for the entire fight but they cannot be correct indicator unless they were broken up on a round by round basis. You also need to take into significance of the strikes.
