Just An Observation........Site Slow loading Pages

First off let me state that I an not complaining or bitching about this site.
For a few days now I have noticed that the site here has slowed down considerably compared to awhile ago or other sites I frequent.
The time to load up a page to view it has become quite long now and I am wondering if its just me or does anyone else notice this?
At first I thought it was an issue with my own equipment but have noticed that any other sites I go to (not fta) load up very fast with my dsl. and the issue is with this site only.
I am just curious if its because of a high user load or if there is any other underlying issues at work here?
I just want to say that I really appreciate the information and help available on this site and hope it stays around no matter what happens in the future.

Now , back to watching the snow fly out the window lol

upgrades have been ongoing for the past week......server admin are aware and trying to get things worked out....thanks for your patirnce though.....hopefully soon back to rockin' rollin' .......

Ahhhh.....I thought that somthing was up lol.
Never a problem to make things better thats for sure.

No problem with everything else here , I run regular maintainanace so the old laptop is running tip top lol.
It's amazing the difference that regular maintainance makes on any computer and how it runs.

I've had a new Toshiba laptop for a couple of weeks now. Vista was preinstalled on it at time of purchase. I have high speed internet connection. Ftatalk is in my favorites, and I'm usually in here several times a day. There are about 25 favorites that I have no problem with loading ( almost instantaneous) , however "only" ftatalk takes a long while to load and to switch between forums. The green bar at the bottom of the page shows the loading speed and it is very slow. When the page finally does load, the page is blank for about 20 seconds before it will refresh itself.
Is this a problem with Vista OS, ftatalk, or something in my settings that may be configured wrong? I've checked the internet security software I have installed as well as the internet connection settings, cleared cookies and history and such. Any I deas as to why it's only ftatalk that is slow to load and how I can fix it?

it seems in the past 3 days the server is slow here on ftatalk. anyone else experiencing this? thank you.

There is some work being done to the site , should be done soon.
