In my last thread I posted that the site had loaded quickly. This only lasted for a little while. It continues to load slow. I have windows xp3 and ie as my browser. In order to open fta quicker I downloaded mozilla and this allows me to browse quickly through the site. I continually do mtce. on my puter so I have a hard time believing that cookies are the problem. When I use ie to browse the web other than ftatalk I am happy with the results. It is only ftatalk that I experience my slowness. There also seems to be certain times that I can open ftatalk with ie and everything is the way it should be.

I use ie,vista and have high speed internet service, this is the only site that is so slow, works very fast on all other sites including satfix. Like i said before it used to be perfectly fine. Just sending this post took about 10 min.

I figured it out on my end...I think. Up until just a few moments ago I was still having incredible problems. What I found was by blocking the following scripts:
google-aynalitics.com
chartbeat.com
googlesyndication.com
FTA Talk is moving along fine now.
I really believe it was mainly googlesyndication that was keeping me slow since I blocked the other two a couple weeks ago.
After doing some searches I found that other people block googlesyndication for speed increases, & I tell ya it is making a difference today for me. Honestly I'm shocked by the speed at which pages are loading.

I don't understand what you are talking about. What do you mean by scripts and how or where do I find these scripts and then how do I block them.

if you're using FF.......try the add on Ghostery......
FF is Firefox from Mozilla.......another alternative to Internet Explorer........you can add what bells and whistles you want.......Ghostery is an add on that blocks some of the ads from google and helps speed up the browser.....
