Very good news indeed. It looks as if viewsat really tries hard and never gives up. Very good coders they have there. I am very impressed once again. Hmmm.....now to see how much they have gotten from the plastic and what is the CAT gonna do now. When the cat retaliates I guess we will see how much the viewsat coders have gotten from the plastic. My hats off to the viewsat coders.

Well if its true and they got a full dump of the map (which I didnt even think was possible honestly) it means the coders can quit playing guessing games and actually get to work with USEFUL information and possibly create a fix. Of course they could run into some unforseen problem of course and it will all be for not anyway. Or hell they could be just trying to sell some more units who knows.

If you go to your User CP you can select your correct setting. Go to Edit Options and 2nd window from the bottom you will see "date and time". Hope this helps !!!!:)

Where are the postings from TDG or Mr. V? All over the forums there are claims to the news coming from them and claims of c/p of the news from them but haven't found the postings. Also members claiming to get phone calls from them stating the info. They all of a sudden decided to call a bunch of people personally to give the good news and couldn't take a moment to post it in the usual way....... Over the last week a lot of this has gone around and it seems the longer the TV is black the higher everyone jumps. I hope its true but we will see.

Simple english on dynamic code since you asked or at least as simple as i can make it..

Sample ecm
Keys now are plain text and most packets in stream do nothing
let pretend they start sending key updates into B1
you MUST allow it to run,because you need the keys but the B1 is unknown
so they can send a killed ecm in it,but you don't know it cause you need it
if you don't allow the B1,your card (fta whatever) doesn't get updated,if you allow the B1,gets updated,and also closed to glitching, marks card or otherwise does some nasty stuff. if they send key change using dynamic code,you wouldn't see the keys only after it runs through the card's registers and map calls unlike now when you see the keys right after decryption they are not using much dynamic code at all now.

Good news map cannot be changed through the stream as it is hard coded in the card so once you got it you got it and if dynamic code or other ecm dont work for them only option card swap. coded packet needs to be run a certain way to get a valid result thats the whole point of the map but once the map is public - it will be a useless ECM thing is dont expect map to ever be public we never see rom3 or 10,11 map do we.

the rutine goes like this : take this two bytes and xor it with 0f,then use math (map call) that's in 04 (which does Q=p*k),then place the result in this location=e120

This marks the 9th or 10th time (at least) since this ecm started that The Dssguy has claimed that viewsat would be coming out with the fix very soon. Reeks of an attempt to improve sales to me.
