I have an iHub with my sonicview 8000 HD (A1 card). Currently I can't get any channels. My dish is pointed towards 61.5. I found this part useful in uplink activity report.

4430(105) - USA [MPEG4 HD] - Echo11 110W TP 07 ConUS beamAvailable (H)

My question is does (H) mean that I wont be able to recieve it at all or what?

I am thinking of changing my dish direction to 110. Should I spend money on it or not?

H means Horizontal tp. Not sure what you're asking in regards to spending money? It wouldn't cost money to move to 110.

I think H means Hidden. Correct me if I am wrong in reading it.

About spending money, last time I paid about $120 for someone to come and install it. I would either have to ask them again or have to invest in getting satellite meter, unless you could tell me an efficient way of doing it.

I'll see if beejay can shed more light on that. As far as aiming for 110, you can visit dishpointer.com to get the info you need to point the dish. Sat finders can be purchased for as cheap as $10. Depending on where your dish is located, some members even use their stb with a small tv. Works great.

$120 to put up a dish is ridiculous IMO. To go from 61.5 to 110 would be pretty easy. Mark the dish position where it is now across the settings with a marker. Go to dishpointer.com and enter your address. Get the settings for 61.5 first and write them down. Then get the settings for 110W and write them down. You will only need to move the dish the difference in degrees between the two settings, both elevation and azimuth. The azimuth will move to the west from where it is now.

I would now need lessons about Elevation, Azimuth and LNB skew. :D

61.5 110
Elevation 35.9 28
Azimuth(true) 160.1 223.6
Azimuth (magn) 173.7 237.2
LNB Skew -13.8 29

Looks like quiet a lot of difference. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Yes (H) is hidden from subscribers. However we are not subscribers so if we are pointed to spotbem 48/49 (Cuba/Puerto Rico) then we would actually see those channels. The bad thing is they are N3 so they are encrypted.

Changing your dish from 61.5 to 110 may not be advisable. If you can get 61.5 then why not "trick" it to think you have 129. Loading this file should get you some HD channels http://www.ftatalk.com/showthread.php?p=1894195#post1894195 This is providing you are pointed to 61.5.

The channels you listed in your post are spotbeam channels for Cuba/Puerto Rico so if you are not in that area you will not get those channels.

For elevation, move it down 7.9 degrees. For azimuth, 63.5 degrees (between 1" to .75" depending on the diameter of the pole mount... 2" to 1 1/2") to the right looking from behind the dish. Skew you don't worry about on single circular satellites.
