Well how do i start this? I been living in the US for a period of time of 10+ yrs. I was raise on the drag strip, going twice every week, i had my stepbrother "ERIZO" that we was like brothers not stepbrothers. We loved racing and in Puerto Rico we have the most popular category "ROTORES VS PISTONES" we was 100% rotary fans, we started a project together for almost 2yrs, it was a Mazda GLC rear wheel drive, with a 9" ford rear end cut to fit with a 13b street port, 4 points bridge, polish, with turbo and 150 shot of NOS and a Turbo 2 transmission. We finish the car, ready for the first pass, we head it to the track with a cousin that had a flatbed tow truck, the car went all the way from home to the track on, brap..brap...brap(30mnts) we get to the track then me and my brother was argue who was gonna do the first pass, cause i was a better driver than him, so i went to the office to register the car, it was a wednesday(free pass all night) when im coming down the stairs the called my number "137" to do the pass, brother get into the car and hit to the track, i ran but he was already burning rubber so i was like "OK, do it" Do the pre-stage then the stage i was so nervious and ansious, get the green, car goes on the air about 2ft, it was beautifull hit second gear activate the NOS the car goes to the air again, hit third gear activate NOS againg, car didnt grab in the pavement slide a little then grab, my brother hit the wall at 137mph(got it on paper slip) and die instantly. It was so hard, so bad so....i dont even know how to say or express my self, seen your brother die and cant do nothing about it, just run like never ran in my life. I suffer for more than 2yrs my brother's loss and its still hurts, but i know he's in a better place now. Since that day i havent race again, almost 8yrs.

Even if he wanted me to keep racing i promise to my self i was gonna stop, for him cause i was suposse to be behing the wheel that day. I hated my self for 2yrs cause i let him drive the car knowing i was a better driver than him. We didn't know the car was gonna be that fast

He would be proud of you for persevering. Don't blame yourself...that's way too easy to do.

That is a sad story indeed Titorotary... Don't blame yourself for what happened , I am sure your brother wouldn't want that. Just think of all the good times the 2 of you had togather. God bless.

He was my stepbrother, my friend, wao we had so many fun times together on that project. we wanted to hit the lows 8's on the quarter mile.

I am deeply sorry to hear about your brothers loss titorotary its hard to lose someone so close to you especially your own family. But i know your brother loves you and is always looking down on you. May god bless you
