my samsung dvd r-150 is acting up.i record a film,then when it tries to finalize the disc,2 out of three times it will say disc cannot be finalized because an error was detected.about 1 in 3 recordings are successful.problem is it doesnt say what error!and when this happens and i put the disc back in it says the disc caannot be played,check disc.anyone ever have this happen.any ideas.thanks.

are you using dvd+r or dvd-r discs. I to was making tons of costers with the +r discs. I moved to the -r discs and have had no problems since.

imusing memorex -r,worked well in the past but hit and miss now.tried to switch to fuji -r and had worse results!

What software are you using to burn ur discs. The reason I am asking is...if this problem has recently started....and if u r using Nero...u might wanna go and delete the temp files...look at the drive where it is caching..clearing those areas will help.

As far as media goes...1 media being better than the other is a thing of the past. Yes...some are more reliable and expensive but having a success rate of 1 out of 3 or 2 out of 3 is what used to be the case like 4-5 yrs back. These days almost all media should give u 99+% results.
