I have an existing Direct TV dish with single lnb with KTI writen on the dish. I was wondering if it is compatible with the Coolsat 5000. I am having a hard time trying to pick up the signal for 110 and 119. I have it angle at 44 and facing a few degrees East off South. but im only get about 8% quality. is it because of compatibility issue or am i not picking up the satellites???please advise.

Direct LNB should be compatible. Make sure Dish mount is vertical. Elevation should only be between 32 to 36 Degrees. Horizontal? Depends where you live. Definitely S to SSW.
Post your settings for the sat you want to pick up. You may be missing something.

Is it the KTI dish with the "D" tube lnb mount and a DishPro "single" lnb. Or the DirecTV dish with a rectangular tube.

The dish and LNB are ok for one sat only. You have a single LNB which means you can only get one sat. Decide which sat you want and use a sat finder program to get the elevation and azimuth for your location. Point your dish in the direction given and make small adjustments to "peak" the signal as shown on your setup screen. You want the best "quality" possible.

I have the directtv KTI dish. I found a website that indicates my degree should be 44 and SSE. Is there another website where I can just plug my address and it can provide me the degree and azimuth?
again THANK YOU all for your help.

First you haven't said what sat you are looking for 110/119/91/82/61.5/148
those are some more popular Sat's that you can pic up with that dish and an fta sat receiver
here is a site for dish calculation but remember this will only give you a guide line you are aiming at something that is 22500 miles above the equator so Patience comes into play to your mast has to be perfectly plumb and straight
