I have a dish pro plus dish set up, similar to the picture, what do you guys think would be the best setup. I own a coolsat 5000 platinum. but the problem is, i do not get all the PPV. and some channels start right up fine, and after a minute it drops to no signal, or may show a totally different channel. I have read that I should use LNB type to OCS DP, but i when i use that setup I loose signal right away to red, on 110 and 119. this is my current setup but like i said it's not 100%.

The DishPro Plus twin LNB has a built in DiSEqC switch. It is capable of recieving 110 and 119 signals and sending them to two rcvrs. There are three ports on the LNB, two output ports and an auxillary input for a third sat location (must use a DishPro LNB). Each port will transmit the signal of all the sat locations to one rcvr. If you use an external switch, the internal switch is disabled and the input port is non-functional. In this case, the ports revert to basic configuration ( port 1 = 119 and port 2 = 110) and no longer carry both sats on one cable. Do Not use a legacy LNB for the third sat location. If you use an external switch, follow convention and put port 1 to port 1 on external switch, port 2 to port 2 on external switch and the third and forth locations to ports 3 and 4 (if applicable). Read Pirate555's post entitled "The Best DishPro document" in Dish FAQ and How To section. Straight from the source and explains what can and can't be used with DishPro or DishPro Plus equipment.
Your settings are wrong, LNB type has to be DishPro or you will lose all the horizontal (left) polarized TPs. From your other post, I see you have a third sat plugged into the "IN" port on the DPP LNB. Is that a DP LNB or legacy. Remove the third LNB and set your LNB type to DishPro and see if you get good quality for 110 and 119.:mask:

For the Coolsat, I guess it would be OSCDP not DishPro (just a different name). Was this setup done by you or was it there and you just hooked into it? No a seperator will not help you. If you did not set the antennas up, how do you know what they are pointed at? You say 110, 119 and 91? Do you know if there are any switches up on the roof? You really need to find out exactly what you have or you'll just go around in circles trying different things. Get as much info as possible, ask whom ever installed the dishes what they put up on your roof, if possible. Without the right info, we can't help much!

this installation was done by a dish installer, I was able to climb to the side of my house and i did notice that a cable was going from the single lnb to the other dish with the double lnb's. that i how i was told i had a DPP. but i do not see any switches around...i tried putting ocs, dp. last night but my signal dropped right away. this is too wierd. and now that i try putting it back on single. the signal dropps after 30 secs or so.
thanks:cry:

.................
Do as above and look inside the menu for help, coolsat has autoswitch detection one of the best features , so if you are in the menu and you are setting 110 eg on the top right corner the same sat will be posted in green and the heartbeat will be green, if the two are not the same the heartbeat will be red , please set your menu according the top one , which comes from auto detecting it.
Adjust your settings

that did not work, so i went ahead and setup the DN receiver to make sure the lnb's worked and they did, and this are the setting i was able to pull up.
Installed device: DPP-Twin
1 2 3
Satellite 119 110 61.5
Pollarity All All All
Device PTwin PTwin Dual
Details
Switch Status Connected to a DPP-Twin with 3 inputs
DPP-Twin-2 119 even,odd
External LNB: DP-Dual-1 61.5 even, odd
I keep dropping the signal after about 3 mins..it goes from %100 to %3 getting kind of frustrated..could it be my channel list?
thanks:hurt:

Start with the settings given earlier, but turn the LNB power to "OFF" for 110 and 61.5. See if you get signal and quality. If so, leave it on to see if it will drop after awhile like before. If it seems to be OK, turn 119 LNB power "OFF" and turn 110 "ON". Again see if you get signal and quality. Leave it on for awhile again to see if it drops out. Turn the LNB power "OFF" for 119 and "ON" for 61.5 and test again. If the signal drops after awhile, you might have a power supply problem with your Coolsat. Signal is the connection to the LNB from the rcvr (good signal level indicates you have good connections and voltage supplied to the LNB). Quality is the amount of info being received from the sat. Are you losing signal or quality? If signal remains high and quality falls off, it is probably a settings problem, but if signal is dropping off, you have a power problem. Are you using the 311 rcvr and the Coolsat together or just the Coolsat. Another member had a problem with a DVR and an FTA rcvr when used together. Seperately, they worked fine, but connected together, he experienced the same symptoms you describe. I am not familiar with the settings of a DN rcvr, but it looks to be the same settings as were given for your Coolsat. The part I don't understand is the switch check:
Switch Status Connected to a DPP-Twin with 3 inputs
DPP-Twin-2 119 even,odd
External LNB: DP-Dual-1 61.5 even, odd
Maybe someone familiar with DN rcvrs can help with decifering the switch status.

From the research that I have been doing around, I think you may be right, the coolsat 5000 cannot power up all 3 lnbs and the internal switch in the DPP, some one else suggested, maybe to plug the Dishne*****receiver to the other free port and that may give more power to the LNB's, since i'm only using one, or to maybe add a DP44, what do you think?
thanks

I think i fixed the problem, I added 2 diplexers and added a DN receiver to the line, and my lines are not dropping, but when i hit dish 119 i only see 110..i will continue working on this.
