:no: hi i have a laptop and it just stop getting power from a/c outlet people are telling me they think its the motherboard ? how much is this ? and is it worth fixing ? help please !!!!!:frusty:

Do you have a way to measure the voltage out of the adapter plug? If you're not getting power out of the ac outlet it could be your power adapter... Also what type of laptop. Give details..

im getting power from a/c and also i replaced a/c cord its a hp laptop

When you try and turn it on, does anything happen? Lights?

once batt power died it died it just cant get power from a/c try to power it up and nothing happens like i didnt do anything to it nothing lights up but i think if i had a charge batt it would work

Did you try taking out the battery and just using the power adapter? What makes you think that if you had a charged battery it would work?

yes i tried to used it with out the batt connected i say it might work due to the fact it was working before the batt died then i tried to charged it back up and it wouldnt do they have chargers for batteries ?

yes, do a google search for stand alone batt charger for your model. However, if you are getting power from the adapter and nothing is happening to the laptop, I think it is something other than the batt. go to that site I posted above and follow the flow chart....
